about

After the successful release of the Vagabonds "#FML" EP, Baysiqly and E.R. have been performing around South Florida extensively due to the buzz generated by the project. In between shows, they've been recording freestyles, guest features, and several music videos. "My City" is one of those freestyles, which was recorded on a Friday night at 3 AM and had a video shot at 5 PM the very next day. "My City" is an ode to the city where E.R. is from, and more specifically to his stomping grounds, the Eastside of Little Havana, in which the majority of the video takes place.

The cover for "My City", which was also designed by E.R., also has a funny story behind it. Originally sporting a glitzy, Miami Vice inspired theme, E.R. was given a picture of one of Little Havana's busiest intersections, NW 17th avenue, which now sports a juxtaposition similar to those in other parts of town. In the background you see the Miami Marlins new two billion dollar stadium positioned in the middle of one of Miami's most impoverished communities, which is a detail cleverly left out when speaking of the stadium.

As a proud born, raised, and current resident of Little Havana, E.R. decides to show you his favorite section of his favorite city: "the tre-oh-five."
